The area extends for 90 km and crosses all of Umbria, following the course of the Nera river. The valley is quite narrow, alternating with gorges and hills and rocky walls. This peculiarity of the territory has led, over the course of history, to the construction of medieval fortifications, watchtowers, abbeys and even medieval villages. Here, time seems to have stopped, offering a vision of nature that is still intact and uncontaminated.

Valnerina is not only nature, but offers a rich gastronomy. From the vast woods you can find strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, which are the perfect base for tasty jams. Also in the woods, in spring there are asparagus, ideal for risottos or omelettes. Very famous are spelt and lentils, renowned throughout the world for their high quality.

Il truffle constitutes the other great ingredient of Valnerina. Also called as thegold of the earth, the truffle is the main subject of the gastronomic tradition of this territory. In this context, the Valnerina Tartufi family is committed to the collection of black truffles, such as the Summer, and the White truffle. The production of truffles began in a small artisan laboratory. Over time, the company has grown more and more until it expanded first towards Europe and then to more international markets such as Asia and the United States. Global export to foreign markets

Valnerina Tartufi has been able to expand towards foreign markets, in particular towards Asia and the United States. The success of the expansion is mainly due to the investment in international fairs, such as in Singapore, Tokyo and New York. This has made it possible to introduce the company and its truffles to a new audience, in territories, among other things, where the market was not so strong. In particular, investments in the Asian market have only borne fruit since the quarter of a year.

 

Valnerina Tartufi mainly exports truffle sauce strictly Made in Italy and products based on fresh truffles. The main buyers are restaurants, retailers and wholesalers of large-scale distribution. In the case of truffle sauces, the company guarantees maximum safety and speed of shipments. This ensures that the products remain fresh and well preserved during the journey.

The success of exporting to the United States has also allowed us to acquire some certifications. The first to be mentioned is the certification issued by FDA, or the US Food and Drug Administration. This certification confirms that products comply with regulations in terms of safety, hygiene and quality.

Another certification worth mentioning is that KOSHER. The word “Kosher”, in Hebrew, means compliant with the regulations and allows to indicate those foods that are produced respecting the dietary rules present in the Bible. This certification has allowed to reach those States in which there is a high presence of Jews or Muslims including the United States, but also France and the United Kingdom.
